It's not even the end of the 2025–2026 school year, and we've already done the hard work of reviewing and building the supply lists for next year. We know you're counting down the days until summer — honestly, so are we! But we wanted to get this on your radar before the chaos of June sets in.
Each year, Fairbanks PTO partners with 1st Day School Supplies to make back-to-school shopping a little less overwhelming. Through our partnership, you can purchase a ready-made supply kit for any student in kindergarten through fifth grade — and if you want, add on a backpack, lunch box, and water bottle while you're at it.
Each kit includes all the grade-level required supplies, so the essentials are handled. But your kids still get to have fun choosing the personal stuff — backpacks, water bottles, and lunch boxes — that make the new school year feel exciting and theirs.
Here's what's inside the kits: We were intentional about what we selected. You'll find name brands where it really counts — Ticonderoga pencils, Crayola markers and crayons, Elmer's glue, Purell sanitizer, Puffs tissues, and Expo dry erase markers. For items like folders, pencil boxes, and composition notebooks, we went with more budget-friendly options because, let's be honest, a folder is a folder.
How it works:
Order now through July 1
Your supply kit ships directly to Fairbanks Elementary — and the PTO will deliver it straight to your child's new classroom before Back to School Night in August
Personal items (backpacks, lunch boxes, water bottles) ship directly to your home before Back to School Night
That means you can check school supplies off your list today, spread out some of those back-to-school costs, and spend July and August focused on the fun stuff — summer adventures, new sneakers, and maybe a little peace and quiet.
And as a bonus: for every kit sold, the PTO earns $5. So you're not just making your own life easier — you're supporting our school community at the same time.
